How to tell if your car has a sound alarm

Today we will check if the car is equipped with a sound alarm. To do this, it must first be turned off.

 

When the car is locked, the alarm activates the security mode. This takes about a minute, depending on the car.

During this time, the system checks whether all doors are closed; the hood and the trunk. If everything is closed, the car activates the protection mode.

 

To check whether the sound alarm works, we will have to interrupt this mode.

Interrupt it manually—not by unlocking with the remote key, but with the key itself.

The easiest way is to insert the key into the driver’s door—which can be removed from the remote—and turn it, thus unlocking the doors and windows.

We have confirmed that the car has a sound alarm.
