What to do if you need to submit a health insurance claim to Compensa?

Let’s start with the fact that in Latvia there are two insurance companies whose names include Compensa:

Compensa Life Vienna Insurance Group SE Latvian branch.
Compensa Vienna Insurance Group ADB Latvian branch (which positions its health insurance product under the name “Seesam”).

In this article, we will refer to them as “Compensa Life” and “Seesam.”

You can find out which insurer you have by checking your policy or insurance agreement.

Ways to submit a claim:

Filling out the Compensa health insurance claim form

Both forms are very similar. You will need to provide:

your personal details (name, surname, personal ID number, address, and contact information)
information about the treatment, including the number and type of medical and payment documents attached
your bank details for receiving the reimbursement (account number, bank)

The form must be signed and submitted to the insurer’s representative in person. Alternatively, it can be signed electronically and sent to the insurer’s email address along with medical and payment documents.
